He also spoke about the initiative during the Independence Day address, urging people to join the movement.."In June, Salman had also posted a subtle yet impactful mesغير مجاز مي باشدe on single-use plastic."During his monthly radio address Polypropylene Storage Tank Factory to the nation, Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister had pitched for launching a "new mass movement" against single-use plastic from October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. But I think the easiest to do and a small change that we can all do in our lives that will make a big difference is about single-use plastic. Its up to each of us to make sure we stop using single-use plastic. "We dont see it happening in front of us.Backing Modis mission, Aamir Khan, who is quite vocal about social issues, had earlier tweeted, "The initiative by the Honble PM @narendramodi to curb single-use plastic is an effort all of us should strongly support. At an IIFA press conference in Mumbai, the actors voiced their concerns and drew attention to the pressing environmental problems that are slowly and steadily inflicting irreversible damage to the planet.

The actor then offers water in a glass and Bajrangi Bhaijaan quickly accepts it.Madhuri, who looked beautiful in a glittery maroon dress paired with a cape, urged people to "take responsibility" and do something small for the environment, whether it be saving water or not using plastic. And I think we have to be responsible. However, the monkey refuses. "Since I have kids, I will say that to every parent that we should think about what kind of planet we are going to leave for our kids and their kids after that. Each one has to take responsibility and say that I am going to be an ideal citizen and I am going to do something for the environment," the Kalank actor said. The actor posted a video where he can be seen offering water to a monkey, whom he calls his Bajrangi Bhaijaan, in a plastic bottle.Katrina, who also had her own little solution and opinion about the issue in hand, was all praise for PM Modis initiative calling it "incredible" and urged everyone to support the campaign. Salman, who was dressed in a black shirt and blue trousers, added, "Dont use plastic and dont be plastic. I think PM Narendra Modi Jis initiative is incredible and thats something we all should support," said Katrina, who rocked a blue dress for the event. "There are so many things you can do for the environment and each one of us can do it in our own little way," she added. Its easy for us to just forget about the importance of whats happening. "Dont drink out of plastic bottles, try to carry some other container to hold your water," she added.New Delhi: Actors Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Madhuri Dixit hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modis initiative of banning single-use plastic in the country and urged fans to support the mission.

Hence, we are trying to sensitise the people about the issue," said Mr Kwatra. A lot of the plastic garbage ends up at Dadar beach from Worli village, BMC officials said.. "We need to change the mindset of people on the ground.During the trial period itself, the group has collected around 30kg plastic waste from 300 homes and shops. Most of the plastic waste is in the form of plastic bottles, plastic containers, and plastic bags. "We have been going door-to-door, asking people to discard single-use plastic that they have at their homes. After collecting plastic waste from a home, the NGO volunteers paste a sticker on the door of that home which reads, "I promise to Plastic PP plate sheet FactoryBeatPlasticPollution".

The group plans to replicate this kind of collection of plastic waste in other places in Mumbai. We conducted a three-day trial recently and got a good response after which, we have decided to do this every week," said Mr Kwatra.Mumbai: In an attempt to render the Dadar beach plastic waste-free, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), along with a NGO led by Chinu Jeet Kwatra, has started apprising the locals of Worli village about the hazards of dumping plastic in water bodies this monsoon. Even when the BMC workers come to collect # garbage at 7am, the locals do not put out the garbage on time and later dump it openly near the place. His NGO has now started a mission to collect plastic waste from Worli village every week. While we have been conducting clean-ups at Dadar, we realised that a large part of the trash ends up at the beach from Worli village. The BMC too has been providing trailers and trucks to collect the waste, which is later sent to recyclers.Mr Kwatra, who has been spearheading the cleanliness drive at Dadar beach since last year, is credited with removing 300 tonnes of garbage from the beach.

Plastics which persist in the environment for Plastic PP plate sheet Suppliers years can be broken down by A tubingensis in a matter of weeks, the scientists said.Researchers argue that we urgently need to find new, safer and more effective ways to degrade waste plastics. In laboratory trials, the researchers found that it also grows on the surface of plastics.. The team found the plastic-eating fungus living in a rubbish tip in Islamabad, Pakistan.Scientists have identified a soil fungus which uses enzymes to rapidly break down plastic materials, an advance that could help deal with waste problem that threatens our environment. Now, researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences have found an unexpected solution to the growing plastic problem in the form of a soil fungus.

The researchers took samples of soil and various pieces of rubbish in hopes of finding an organism which could feed on plastic waste in the same way that other fungi feed on dead plant or animal material. Our teams next goal is to determine the ideal conditions for fungal growth and plastic degradation," researchers said. The fungus performance is affected by a number of environmental factors including pH, temperature and the type of culture medium used.Attempts to deal with plastic waste through burying, recycling or incineration are variously unsustainable, غير مجاز مي باشدtly and can result in toxic byproducts which are hazardous to human health.

This could pave the way for large-scale use of the fungus in, for example, waste treatment plants, or for application in soils already contaminated by plastic waste, they said. Because plastic does not break down in the same way as other organic materials, it can persist in the environment over extremely long periods of time.Using advanced microscopy and spectroscopy techniques, the team found that the fungus also uses the physical strength of its mycelia - the network of root-like filaments grown by fungi - to help break apart the polymers.Humans are producing ever greater amounts of plastic much of which ends up as garbage. It secretes enzymes onto the surface of the plastic, and these break the chemical bonds between the plastic molecules, or polymers. The research was published in the journal Environmental Pollution.Aspergillus tubingensis is a fungus which ordinarily lives in the soil.

We have to consciously stop the uغير مجاز مي باشدe of plastic. However, no proper solution has been devised yet. This new convenience is probably here to stay, but at a huge غير مجاز مي باشدt on the environment and our health. He further adds that on an estimate, home-delivered food is responsible for 22,000 tonnes of plastic waste generated in India every month. It is high time the public acted. But, is it environmentally responsible? This has been a new change. The greatest example is the implementation of unscientific plastic treatment plant in the city, which will in turn lead to massive air pollution. The question that is pertinent at this juncture, when the world celebrates the Environmental Day, is that can we afford more plastics being dumped on the earth? Are our authorities at the local level well equipped for proper disposal of the plastic waste that has increased massively in cities? Most of the experts opine that we still have a long way to go."Their corruption-laden hands do not allow them to think for humanity.Though the companies have made it a rule, keeping a check on whether it is being followed strictly is not an easy task.

The unscientific and no-result-yielding projects related to the dumping yard have been a topic of discussion at the government level for many years now."I would like to convey a mesغير مجاز مي باشدe to the eateries that their profits and convenience cannot be at the غير مجاز مي باشدt of environment and public health, and so they need to ensure that their brand is delivered in an eco-friendly manner. The corporation claims that the plant will melt the plastic waste and generate electricity from the energy extracted from it. Customers must demand safe, and eco-conscious packing," he says, adding that better alternatives like cooking, as a first and most preferred choice, and walking into the eatery with a container for those foraging moment will ensure fewer toxins disposed into the environment."Suggesting a possible solution for the increasing plastic waste, Sridhar says that the four stake holders – city corporation, eateries, home delivery companies and the public – must intervene to get at least some important things in place. Just scroll through the names of each and every food joint in the city on a mobile app, select the place you would like to buy the food, browse through the menu, select the items (the instant cravings that develop after looking at the menu is also taken care of), pay with your credit card or even choose a cash-on-delivery scheme, wait for some time and here you go – the food has arrived. for various kinds of food, blending convenience and the concept of zero waste. Ensure a system of full take back/recycling of the non-biodegradable materials used and penalise such waste getting into waste stream.Sridhar Radhakrishnan, environmentalist and programme director of Thanal, has a relevant question to ask. Even when we relish this convenience, there is an inconvenient truth that we ignore. I am not saying that one must curb his/her craving. I will say that only a bunch of people who are illiterate about the environmental degradation that is happening around them will implement a plan that is no use to mankind and in turn affect them adversely," he adds. "Online home delivery is convenient. Opting for takeaway in one’s own container will reduce the use of plastic to a great extent. He affirms that the government officials, who are supposed to make sure that a metro like ours maintains basic sanitation and proper waste disposal, are busy filling their pockets. Ban plastic and use fibre bags for delivery.. In most cities, we are now possibly ordering more food via Uber Eats, Swiggy’s and Zomato’s than walking into the eateries.

The restaurants have to act sensibly in this regard. Make it a paid option, where you get degradable/edible cutlery only. Even if we are opting for ordering food online, we must use the options available in these apps wherein we can avoid the plastic cutleries.Craving for a biryani or ice-cream, or want a cup of tea after a hectic day at work? Everything is delivered at your doorstep. The plastic packing and cutlery that come along are single-use plastic, and go into the waste stream," he opines. We can’t afford it.Environmentalist and social activist Dr C.M. No need of free cutlery in the delivery packs. But, wait. Why don’t we understand a simple argument that we are the ones who need to come forward and work for our well-being? More such fire outbreaks in waste dumping yards cannot be permitted.  Encourage and adopt paper, cloth, pulp-based packs, palm leaves, banana leaves etc. Promote responsible behaviour for both the eatery and the consumer, with incentives.  When asked if the local government bodies have the proper infrastructure to deal with the increasing plastic waste, Dr Joy says that the authorities are responsible for these never ending miseries of the people in the city.Commenting on the possible solution for the situation, Mahesh Maanas, director of the short film Wiped Out says, "I can’t Polyvinyl Chloride Sheet Suppliers imagine the future of the place that we live in. Joy considers it as a joint responsibility of the online food ordering companies and restaurants to set up a strict rule according to which the food shall only be delivered in bio-degradable containers. Does anybody think what happens to the plastic containers, cutlery and bags that the food is delivered in? They just add up to the heap of plastic waste lying on the earth for who knows how many years. Neither will the authorities do something.
